Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as a news reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV. She later became a morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories regarding the police's lenient approach towards DUI cases resulted in a State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the states authorities again releasing the strictest guidelines regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Her work in Charleston was the reason she joined as co-anchor, investigative report and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to joining Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as NBC's weekend co-anchor. O'Dell's current role as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's reported on The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
