Arike Ogunbowale
Arike Ogunbowale is an American professional basketball player for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. Arike Ogunbowale played in the NCAA basketball tournament as a member of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before getting drafted by the Wings as the fifth overall selection for the 2019 WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale was a Milwaukee Wisconsin native born to Yolanda Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26) and Dare Ogunbowale(20) are two of her siblings. As the youngest sister, she got the attention of her parents. The father of her Gregory was a soldier in the Nigerian Army for quite some period of time. Ogunbowale lives with a very active family. Her mother Yolanda played softball at DePaul, and her brother Dare used to be a footballer. Her aunt used to play volleyball at UAPB as was their cousin Endia Oliver too plays Volleyball on the field at Tennessee State. Ogunbowale appeared on the Honor Roll of her school for 3 consecutive years. In addition, she has won numerous awards and received fame as well as recognition during her time at high school. Arike graduated from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School situated in her hometown. As a student at the school, she played three seasons of varsity soccer. Ogunbowale was also named to the ACC All-Freshman Team following her debut year as a collegiate player. Ogunbowale was also congratulated by the Kobe Bryant after she hit various big shots in the NCCA Tournament.
